With the rapid development of domestic urban and the construction of infrastructures, people’s standard of living rose constantly, urban water supply scale has been expanded. Although cities had already rebuilt many water supply pipelines according to their own development needs, it should not be ignored that many pipelines were still running. This phenomenon led that urban water supply pipe network leakage was very serious directly. Reducing the water supply pipe network leakage rate of urban water supply industry had become an important issue where water was very precious.In this paper, the key technology research about water supply pipe network leakage management in Suzhou New&Hi-tech Zone was opened basing on hydraulic model of water distribution network in Suzhou New&Hi-tech Zone was built and a comprehensive understanding of the water supply pipe network hydraulic conditions.Water supply pipe network leakage prediction model in Suzhou New & Hi-tech Zone was established by using time series analysis, the mixed autoregressive moving average model(ARMA) and basing on collecting historical statistical data leakage comprehensively. Leakage of water and the quantity of leakage in the short term in Suzhou New&Hi-tech Zone were predicted by using water supply pipe network leakage prediction model.The main factors result in pipeline leakage were quantified and pipe diameter, pipe buried depth, pipe compression modulus, average daily traffic flow above pipelines and pipe network pressure were selected as input parameters of the model. The using time of grey cast iron pipe and galvanized steel pipe in Suzhou New&Hi-tech Zone which had been replaced were fitted and the safe using time of old pipelines which didn’t replaced in Suzhou New&Hi-tech Zone were predicted by using BP neural network structure.Economic water leakage of water supply network in Suzhou New&Hi-tech Zone was calculated and leakage test cycle of water supply network was optimized when average leakage control total cost was least.Operation conditions at this stage and when the water supply increasing were simulated by using hydraulic model of water distribution network in Suzhou New&Hi-tech Zone which had been built. Existing problems of network at present were analyzed and long term planning advices were put forward. Probability of tube of water distribution network in Suzhou New&Hi-tech Zone was simulated by establishing pipe explosion risk function and simulation of pipe network pressure condition.The purpose of this paper was intended to provide some new optimization ideas about water supply pipe network leakage management and to provide decision-making supports and technical references for waterworks.
