The Self-centering steel frame structure is a new type of structure on performance-based earthquake resistive design. After an earthquake, Energy dissipation element of the frame dissipates energy from the earthquake while the beam and the column of the frame structure keep elastic. The structure can be restored by replacing the Energy dissipation element. Besides, the residual deformation in the main components of the frame can be removed after the earthquake. This paper focus on Seismic Behavior of Self-Centering Frame with Dissipative Elements in the Beam-Column JointsFirstly, Based on research significance, development status and research methods, The Self-centering steel frame structure introduced. And, make an introduction to analysis software in the research.According to the performance requirements of The Self-centering steel frame structure, then design a common single span Self-centering steel frame as BASE frame and specific design process and design basis of Self-centering steel frame structure was introduced in detail.Subsequently, analyze the BASE frame with the finite element software ANSYS 10.0. Then considering the following parameters for the influence of seismic performance of steel frame structure:the thickness of the angle, the quantity of pre-stress in the steel strand, the diameter of the steel strand, the size of the beam span, the height of the column and the arrangement of bolt in the Angle. On the basis of the finite element simulation, in the aspect of hysteresis curves, stiffness, skeleton curves on seismic performance of steel frame were analyzed. For further research of Self-centering steel frame structure provides references.Lastly, design a three-layer model of the single span steel frame. Two of them are Self-centering steel frame and the third is traditional steel frame, analyze their seismic performance by comparing with the hysteresis curve and skeleton curve comparison.
