The steel bifurcated pipe is a key part of hydropower station underground engineering, and it has important influence on the safety operation of hydropower station. Most of the steel that high head and big HD value hydropower station need for are import from foreign. There is a power station using the steel bifurcated pipe that made of domestic B780 CF steel, this is the first time that using the steel bifurcated pipe made of domestic 780 MPa high-strength steel in high head pumped storage power station. This paper is to research the steel bifurcated pipe manufacturing process, finite element analysis, hydraulic pressure test and relevant test.In order to make sure the pipe manufacturing quality meet the requirements of design and specification, this paper aimed at the structural characteristics of the bifurcation pipe, analysis the emphasis and difficulty in the manufacturing process, and design the manufacturing process; based on the actual conditions of steel bifurcated pipe to make the hydraulic pressure test scheme; set up the finite element model of the bifurcated pipe; the stress data extraction test according to the similar bifurcated pipe design requirements and testing experience; making the hydraulic pressure test scheme of bifurcated pipe; finite element calculation results and the test results were compared and analyzed. The analysis of the results shows that the quality of domestic-made high strength steel B780 CF pipe meets the requirements of the design and specification. The stress change calculation result is consistent with the finite element pressure test of steel bifurcated pipe, the calculation results in high stress area and the actual test results.This research of the bifurcated pipe products provide a basis for 780 MPa grade high strength steel plate localization and provide reference for the similar domestic bifurcated pipe design and manufacture.
