With the rapid development of power industry in our country, the demand for reactive compensation devices is growing, especially the Magnetic Controlled Reactor. Although we can produce Magnetic Controlled Reactor, it is a key technology mainly comes from overseas. Localization research is still in its infancy, especially on the loss and cost research achievements of Magnetic Control Reactor is less. The optimal design of Magnetic Control Reactor has been researched in this paper, and put forward the optimal design scheme of minimum loss, the lowest cost, and using c# development language developed magnetic control reactor design calculation software.Firstly, this article elaborates the working principle of magnetic control reactor. Analyzes the theoretical of Magnetic Control Reactor in detail and pushes the electromagnetic equations of Magnetic Control Reactor according to the structure of Magnetic Control Reactor and theory of the dc bias. Prepared for the follow-up of all current simulation calculationSecondly, the loss of the Magnetic Control Reactor were studied. The winding of Magnetic Control Reactor, there are both direct current and alternating current, in order to accurately calculate winding loss, the calculation method of ac resistance was deduced in this paper. Magnetic Control Reactor is different from the transformer, its cross section area of magnetic valve and core are different, and their flux density is different. So the hysteresis loss and eddy current loss of magnetic valve and core should be calculated separately. This paper gives a detailed analysis of the loss for 0.4kV/100kVar and 10kV/500kVar prototype.Thirdly, analyzes the cost of Magnetic Control Reactor, and put forward the optimizing design scheme. Through cost analysis found that many factors affect the cost, we study the impact on cost based on the cross-sectional area and height of magnetic valve, and find out the relationship between them. On the basis of studying the loss and cost, this paper puts forward the Magnetic Control Reactor optimal design scheme of minimum loss, the lowest cost. Gives the optimized design for 0.4kV/100kVar and 10kV/500kVar prototype, and compares the loss and cost of Before and after optimization.Finally, Based on the theory of Magnetic Control Reactor design and the optimal design scheme proposed in this paper, develops Magnetic Control Reactor design calculation software using the C# programming language. As well as, introduces the Magnetic Control Reactor design calculation steps.
