The environmental pollution and energy shortage problem has become the two major problems in today’s world. In this case, the electric car has become an inevitable trend. The charger is the core equipment electric vehicles and its performance has an impact on the use of electric vehicles directly. Therefore, it is important to study high-performance electric vehicle charging technology. With the progress of science and technology, the electric vehicle charger needs to achieve the miniaturization and digitization. The grid directly supplies power to the charger, so the input power factor, input current harmonic, charger efficiency, output voltage, charger efficiency and other performance indicators are put forward higher request. It is necessary to employ high performance and efficient control method. This paper analyzes the common topologies and control modes in order to design of the power of 900 W low-speed electric vehicle charging power supply. The first-stage part selects the Boost APFC circuit, which can not only inhibit the input current harmonic but also increase the power factor of power supply. The second-stage DC/DC converter selects a half-bridge LLC resonant topology, which can meet the demands of efficiency and output voltage ripple. STM32F051 is the core of the whole control system, which using the digital control method to control the charger. On the basis of the analysis of working principle and working mode of the circuit, this paper puts forward designing methods of the circuits’ parameters, selects proper elements and validates whole scheme is feasible through the Saber simulation software.
