Controlling the steering wheel angle is the main function of Automatic Parking System ECU. The performance of ECU has a great effect on the stable parking. So, it’s necessary to set up a test system, which can be used to detect ECU status, and diagnose faults.In this paper, a test system based on LabVIEW and data acquisition system is built to test the hardware of the ECU and evaluate the control strategy. The test system has been verified through the real ECU. The main cotents include the following parts:(1)Design the development program of the test system’s hardware. The Module of test system hardware is divided according to the hardware components. First, finish the design of data acquisition system and implement the interaction between the test software and ECU. Second, design the signal conditioning modules by add signal conditioning board, and complete digital signal conditioning and analog signal conditioning circuit design. Finally, select the steering wheel angle sensor to meet the acquisition of steering wheel angle data.(2)Design the development program of the test system’s software. Test system software is divided into two parts: one is the main interface design. Graphical controls and editing tools that come from LabVIEW have been used to design front panel and block diagram. The other one is the hardware-driven design. For USB2833 and USB5932, driver can be designed according to the Lab VIEW driver module from vendor. For USBCAN-I, driver can be designed according to the Dynamic-link library ControlCAN.dll that come from LabVIEW. In addition, technology program of data storage has been designed in the paper.(3)Design the pilot program of test the system. Select ECU of Automatic Parking System as the measured object. Prove the test system is able to complete the test on the hardware performance and control strategy of ECU.The system’s usability has been proved in the process of testing, it has high performance, accurate measurement, less time-consuming features, fully capable of the ECU testing work,and it has practical value.
