Along with the rapid development of automobile industry, and the amount of vehicles around the world with rapid growth, too. At the same time the energy shortage, the climate warming and environmental pollution and other negative effects brought by the vehicles are increasingly serious, too. In today’s society, the pressure of energy and the problem of environment is heavier and heavier, the energy-saving performance of the vehicles is becoming more and more concerned. Nowadays the world has focused on recycling the kinetic energy that is converted into heat energy to be wasted during braking process. To recycle the vehicle’s braking energy and utilize it for other purposes is not only improving fuel efficiency greatly, but also giving a help for reducing the emissions of vehicles, and there is a significant effect in improving the service life of the parts of the vehicle’s braking system. Therefore, this study of braking energy’s recovery system is full of important significance. So far,there is a certain progress for the research of braking energy recovery of cars and minivans, but the energy recovery of heavy vehicle is in relatively few. This paper will based on the chongqing dajiang industry group of heavy vehicles, and put forward a kind of braking energy recovery system which is called electric energy storage. This system, the vehicle’s power and transmission system are paratactic. And the structure of this system is simple, light and convenient. Paper firstly discusses the whole scheme design of braking energy recovery system which is the electrical energy storage type, including the connection position where the system connects the transmission system design of the heavy vehicle driving axle, the design of the growth mechanism design, the design of the deputy clutch’s position, the design of the fast electric energy storage device and a large amount of storage and the main working principle of the whole system.This paper’s research object is during a period of time when the heavy axle of wet-type brake is working. There are some analyses in detail that for strategies that the distribution of the brake pressure of the wet-driving axle braking energy recovery equipment between the before and rear axle, braking energy recovery control, battery quick charging and protection.There is a theoretical analysis and calculation on how much energy on the basisof the proposed control strategies for the system energy recovery equipment in this paper. And energy recovery system of each module of the simulation model is established, including battery module, motor module, wind power gear box module,deputy clutch module, the distribution of the braking force module and the braking modul of the whole vehicle, and use the Matlab/Simulink software for simulation analysis.By comparing the theoretical calculation results of the efficiency of the braking energy recovery with the results of the simulation, which proves that the system’s design and the control strategy of the braking energy recovery are effective.
