Fly ash as coal-fired power plant secondary products huge emissions increased year by year. At present, considering the city haze phenomenon increasingly grim situation, a large number of fly ash emissions caused great pressure on the construction of national economy and ecological environment. How to improve the comprehensive utilization of fly ash has become a widespread concern. In this paper, HJ-1 type ring shear apparatus is used for the experimental study of two aspects of the ash loess. Firstly, the strength and deformation of different state of ash loess under different experimental conditions is different. Then, to explore the shear characteristics of interface between the loess and the concrete. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) with the increase of the amount of fly ash, lime loess optimum water content rate increases linearly, maximum dry density approximately linearly decreases, the project can account for the treatment of over wet soil with fly ash, in order to increase the optimal soil moisture rate, reduce the sensitivity of soil to water, lime loess high embankment construction, in order to reduce the weight of the soil.(2) the shear rate has the opposite effect on the peak strength and the residual strength, but the effect is relatively small.. Different shear modes of soil shear strength has obvious influence, mainly for initial shear test soil sample shear strength is higher than that of the second, third, fourth shear test, but the formation of continuous shear surface after successive shear test shear strength difference is smaller, and the no shear mode with the advantages and disadvantages and the suitable conditions.(3) with different moisture content, the ash content has different influence on the shear strength and the vertical settlement of the mixed loess.. When the water content is less than the critical moisture content, the shear strength decreases with the increase of the amount of lime and fly ash, greater than the critical moisture content, the shear strength increases with the increase of the quantity of added lime, and analyzes the mechanism of action of fly ash in the lime loess. The curing age has little effect on the shear strength of the mixed loess, and the later growth of the shear strength of the ash loess can not be considered in the engineering application.(4) mixed with ash in Loess and concrete contact surface shear, shear plane tends to mirror, and pure lime loess shear properties are different, but shear strength and deformation law has some similarities, but the former is much more discrete.
