Space Design Research On Inn Of Pingyao Ancient City Under Multicultural Perspective

Along with the enrichment of the social and cultural life, the present travel demand is slightly changed. The tourist resort people yearned for is no longer confined to the beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers, people has gradually paid more attention to the ancient city with strong regional features and rich cultural connotation, which makes the traditional tourism generally shift its focus and pattern. Moreover, with the continuous development of tourism industry, and the increase of social wealth and higher level of consumption in our country, a number of public places to meet tourist accommodation, catering, leisure, entertainment etc. also emerged, brought great development of the domestic ancient city inn in recent years. The emergence of the ancient city inn is not only arguably offers visitors to experience the regional customs and relaxed manner of living, molds an individual and regional living environment, but also offers a chance for it to find the new value and the possibility of sustainable development. In a word, the ancient city inn has become an extremely significance of tourism cultural industry.This paper focuses on the theory and practice research for the space of Pingyao ancient city inn. At present, the emergence of commercialization and globalization has affected many sectors such as economy and culture. This paper combines the relevant cultural research with the updating modern scientific technology and highlighted diversity phenomenon to raise the breakthrough point--the new cultural context, which also founds the theoretical basis of pingyao ancient city inn space design.Under the era background of new culture context, the theory research and practice on the space of Pingyao ancient city inn are accompanied by the renovation and reconstruction of the traditional dwellings. First of all, the traditional dwellings carry abundant historical connotation. They should be well preserved and transformed to take a new lease of life with divergent thinking. Secondly, the inn attracts people not only because of its rich cultural value, but also reflects the regional feature due to the profound cultural accumulation of traditional dwelling buildings, furthermore, the ancient city inn is in common with new hotels at the same time, which inevitably contains some era characteristic. So if the new elements and traditional elements are appropriately combined based on the new culture context, it can promote the harmonious coexistence and get sublimation, and offer visitors a rare fresh experience.This paper put forward the solid theoretical study basis through research and analysis on the theory of new cultural context and the investigation and research on the existing inn in Pingyao ancient city, and demonstrates it with the design practice. Therefore, the conclusion of this paper is realistic, and it is expected to play a guiding role on regional research in the field of interior design.
