With the continuous expansion of the grid size, the disadvantages of traditional power systems are increasing day by day. As the representative of distributed generation technology, photovoltaic and wind power have been developed quickly. However, a problem has been encountered in integration between the distributed power and the large grid due to the uncontrollability and stochastic volatility of the distributed power. Microgrid can integrate the advantages of distributed generation, coordinate distributed power and the power system, making full use of the decentralized energy, maximizes the use of existing energy sources. With the development and in-depth research of microgrid, how to optimize scheduling each distributed power and energy storage unit under the conditions of meeting system’s safety, reliability and power supply quality constraints to achieve integrated optimization of cold, heat and electricity energy sources and economic operation of microgrid system has become a serious problem.Simulating the whole year’s load characteristics of system’s heat and electrical load based on the analysis of overall structure of the microgrid. In full consideration of each component’s output characteristics, installation cost, replacement costs, maintenance costs, environmental costs and other data, establishing the mathematical and economic operation model of system’s main components with the use of HOMER software, such as the photovoltaic cells, wind turbine, cogeneration microturbines, fuel cells, waste heat boiler, etc. In order to maintain the safely and stably operation of microgrid and ensure the continuity of load supplying, proposing the generation capacity that the system must be met. On this basis, with the goal of lowest operating costs, giving the economic operation strategies of microgrid, including the power generation unit control strategy and energy storage unit charging policy. Proposing the system’s total net present cost as the standard of assessing the economic performance of the microgrid. Finally, take actual microgrid for example, modeling and simulating the system with the use of HOMER software. Comparative analysis of the economic benefits under different configuration parameters, then take a certain system as the research obiect, the 24 hours economic result in spring and winter days were analyzed. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the economic operation strategies. Finally, analysis the impact of changes in maximum annual capacity shortage and natural gas prices to the system’s optimization results.
