Electrified railway is an important impetus for social development. With the development of society, the railway energy consumption will keep increasing. The regenerative braking technology is a main characteristics of AC electric locomotive.It is significant for realizing the economic operation of traction power supply system to research how to use regenerative energy more effectively and improve the utilization of regenerative energy In the field of electrified railway.The main work of this thesis is to research scheme for regenerative braking energy utilization of AC electric locomotive when traction loads use the regenerative braking energy directly.First of all,the existing regenerative braking energy utilization schemes of AC electric locomotive are analysed, then three schemes for improving regenerative energy utilization are research in this thesis:optimization of power supply system, optimization of train operation organization and combined cophase traction power supply system. After that, according to Regulations on Railway Train Traction Calculation (《RRTTO》),a simulation model of load-process based on the train diagram has been set up, besides, a simulation model of load-process including regenerative braking based on train-network coupling systems and simulation of load-process has been set up. Finally, This thesis writes calculation programs based on models to analyze and verify the effect of these three schemes for regenerative braking energy utilization.In the process of the simulation analysis,firstly, It lays a data foundation for simulation model of load-process including regenerative braking by using a practical circuit parameter to calculate the traction load data of actual railway. In the process of the simulation analysis for the scheme of optimization of power supply system, by calculating the consumption energy of the system when changing the density of traction network parallel-number in the condition of some point and a period of time, the simulation results show that the consumption of energy of the system decreases with increasing the the density of traction network parallel-number,and the effect is better when there is locomotive on the parallel-position.In the process of the simulation analysis for the scheme of train operation organization, by calculating the consumption of energy of the system of different intervals, the simulation results can be got that the energy utilization of regenerative braking energy increases with decreasing intervals of trains. In the process of the simulation analysis for the scheme of combined cophase traction power supply system, the results can be got that the utilization of regenerative energy can be increased by comparing the consumption energy of the railway line.
