Many structural parts used in aviation, spaceflight can be simplified as the cantilever thin plate structure. Thin plate structure is more and more widely used in industrial structure. Due to the progress of science and technology, the requirements on structure are getting higher and higher. Analysis of dynamic characteristics and research on vibration suppression of cantilever thin plate has become an important subject. Currently, viscoelastic damping material is widely used in vibration suppression of the structure. Due to it can effectively improve the damping of system and achieve a significant damping effect. Research on cantilever plate structure, an important direction is the vibration characteristics of structure, the other is the vibration control problem. In this paper, dynamic characteristics of cantilever plate and composed of viscoelastic constrained layer damping cantilever plate are studied.Firstly, inherent characteristics of cantilever plate are analyzed. Analytical method, finite element simulation method and experimental analysis method of cantilever plate are obtained. The results obtained by the three methods are compared to verify the correctness of the method.Secondly, using experimental tests and finite element calculation method, vibration response of the cantilever plate were analyzed. The vibration resonance of cantilever plate under basis and a single point of excitation are calculated and tested. Furthermore, the result of both finite element analysis and measurement are compared, which verifies the correctness of finite element modeling and the reliability of estimating resonant response.Thirdly, the specific methods for solving viscoelastic material constitutive relationship model in ANSYS software are described. Finite element model of viscoelastic constrained layer damping-cantilever plate composite structure are established, based on which, natural frequency and loss factor are calculated. Natural frequency and modal damping ratio of composite structure cantilever plate is measured. The influence of structure parameter, material parameter of damping layer and constrained layer, pasting location and pasting area of viscoelastic constrained layer damping on the vibration characteristics are discussed.Finally, the experimental method and experimental system are introduced. Vibration test is done to the composite cantilever plate. On the basis of proposing evaluation index of the damping effect, cantilever thin plate pasted viscoelastic constrained layer damping is taken as example. Finite element method and experimental method are adopted to calculate the above index, whose results reveal the good effect.
