With the global energy shortage and environmental pollution becoming worser and worser, people attached great importance to solar power, as a clean and renewable resource. PV has become a popular industry.Many countries are scrambling to develop it. PV panels can convert solar energy into direct current directly. But PV systems still have many problems to be solved, such as photovoltaic panels’ low conversion rate and its unsatisfactory efficiency. MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking), can increase solar panels’ output power effectively and improve your ROI and resource utilization. The research have great significance on the development of photovoltaic systems.This paper focuses on the research of photovoltaic cell MPPT control algorithm and proposes a MPPT control system based on BOOST circuit. Hardware system uses DSP TMS320F2812 as the core, which can converse the analog of photovoltaic cell’s output voltage and current to digital. It can also achieve MPPT algorithm and output square wave to adjust duty cycle of BOOST circuit by PWM module. This paper uses EIM P&O method to improve MPPT performance. PV characteristics under partial shade conditions and its multimodal characteristics have been analyzed. The paper proposes preset points multimodal algorithm to solve the problem of the control failure of traditional MPPT under partial shade. Then,test on the hardware platform and measure the characteristics of photovoltaic cells in different environments to verify the validity of the two MPPT control algorithm.This paper also studies single-phase photovoltaic grid-connected inverter control strategy and completes grid-connected inverter system simulation experiment with simulink to verify inverter control method and the function of MPPT control in PV grid-connected system.
