With the development of computer technologies, the control and management of marine diesel engines have been electronized, intelligentized and informationized gradually. It sharply reduces the atmosphere pollution and greatly improves the reliability and economic efficiencies of the ship by applying the marine electronic diesel engine as main engine.In this dissertation, the medium pressure common rail system of MAN 6S60 ME-C electronically controlled diesel engine is taken into study. Firstly, after comprehensively analysing the structures and principles of the system, the main control strategies are preliminarily designed according to the requirement of marine main diesel engine. These strategies include fuel injection timing, injection rate, injection quantity and rail pressure. Secondly, basing on hydromechanics control equations and the equations of the components’ motion and state, the physical and mathematical models of the system are established in modularized methods. And the Matlab/Simulink software is chosen to be the simulation tool. The results of simulation are verified. Thirdly, a fuzzy adaptive PID controller is designed by using Fuzzy Logic Toolbox to control the rail pressure of the models. The controller is applied in the simulation programs and the control effects are verified. Finally, on the basis of the simulation researches of common rail system, C# programming language is chosen to design a human-computer interaction simulator of medium pressure common rail system.The simulation results of this thesis show that the models built in this paper can accurately predict the parameters of the system. And the models and the initial parameters are selected correctly. The simulation results are in accordance with the actual performances of the system. The key parameters of the results have little margin of errors. The fuzzy adaptive PID controller of rail pressure has good adaptabilities and robustness. And the overall control effects are eligible. It can meet the control requirements of medium pressure common rail system of ME engine. The simulator of system has friendly man-machine interactive interfaces. It has the features of high simulation precision and good real-time performance and can meet the training requirements of marine engineering simulator.
