Pipeline leak detection technology is one of the important means to ensure the safety of pipeline transportation operations. Along with the increasingly serious energy crisis, as the main carrier of pipeline transport and energy transport security becomes more and more attention, and gradually developed into the important factors that affect the country’s economic and social development. Pipeline leak detection technology is one of the main ways to ensure normal operation of the pipeline, the severe energy shortage situation demands of the modern pipeline leak detection technology should have higher positioning accuracy, able to detect smaller leakage signal, realize effective pipe weak leakage signal detection.This paper adopted in signal decomposition and the signal noise reduction has a good effect of empirical mode decomposition method for sound pipeline leakage signal processing,this method can be signals of different scales(frequency) of trend of fluctuations or broken down step by step, the formation of intrinsic mode function, and has good capability of signal noise and the signal feature extraction and its application in the pipeline leakage signal processing have a significant effect. At the same time is existing in the traditional empirical mode decomposition method of modal aliasing, endpoint effect and other issues in-depth analysis and research, and to get an improved empirical mode decomposition method, through the test data to verify the validity of the improved method, and applies this kind of improvement method in the field data, the same high quality signal is obtained through decomposition results..The sensitivity of the chaotic system of weak signal with a strong, great robustness to noise suppression, it decided to the chaotic system is suitable for this nature of weak signal detection, and this kind of weak signal including submerged in noise of weak signal generated by pipeline leak. This article selects the chaos in the system can realize sex strong, good stability, has a better ability to resist noise, high sensitivity of the higher order duffing oscillator theory analysis and practical research, with the improved empirical mode decomposition method is associated with improved empirical mode decomposition method as the pipeline leakage signal pretreatment method, the noise signal after its processing as input signals to be measured to the higher order chaotic vibration subsystem, chaotic system state by observing the change of judging whether detected leak signal, through the analog signal testing and field data, verify the validity of the method and advantage, to achieve the desired effect of the proposed method.
