In recent years,with rapid development of our country’s transport services, development of transport infrastructure in plain area to mountainous areas,high pier and long span continuous rigid frame bridge is emerging,span and high pier of bridge is constantly refreshed.The limitations which the existing bridge seismic design specification is appearing. Earthquakes often occur in our country. The destruction of bridge structure- lifeline hub needs attention. Its destruction will not only produce secondary disasters but also bring incalculable loss of property and casualty.Therefore,it is very necessary to analyse high pier and long-span continuous rigid frame bridge seismic response into depth, detailed research for it can not only enrich bridge seismic design and analysis theory but also guide the work of testing and strengthening bridges.Based on the basic theory of seismic response of bridge structure, a main span of Aizhai rigid frame bridge with engineering background, it uses large general-purpose finite element software Midas/civil to build the finite element model which without considering the pile-soil-structure interaction and the finite element model which consider the pile-soil-structure interaction, analyzing the vibration characteristics of the whole bridge. Reached the following conclusion:the existence of pile-soil-structure interaction reduces the overall stiffness of the structure, increasing the natural period structure, reducing the natural frequency of the structure, so that the structure becomes soft. In order to consider the pile-soil-structure interaction and vertical seismic force to influnence the seismic response of structures, using elastic response spectrum and time-history analysis method to analyze the seismic response of Aizhai rigid frame bridge under considering four conditions, geting some useful conclusions about the continuous rigid frame bridge. In order to compare the different effects which integral cap and separate cap to continuous rigid frame bridge seismic response, re-established the finite element model of a main span of Aizhai rigid frame bridge and analyzed, obtained some suitable conclusions. Finally, the apparent velocity in different (main consideration longitudinal bridge) input the different support, analysing of the traveling wave effect on the seismic response of continuous rigid frame bridge, drawing some useful conclusions, so as to provide reference and guidance for continuous rigid frame bridge seismic designing and checking.
