With the rapid development of our country’s economy, the environmental pollution and energy dissipation problem are increasingly serious. As a clean, renewable and abundant new energy, solar has more and more attention from society and becomes a research hotspot at present.This paper, based on the actual engineering, researchs tandem solar assisted water source heat pump radiant heating system in cold region.In this paper, the villa of xi ’an high-tech zone in Shaanxi province is regarded as the research object. Firstly, the total area is 536 m2 and the heating index is 36 W/ m2.The paper introduces the design process, calculation and some key equipments’ selection of the system. At the same time, it detailedly designs operational control and installation and maintenance for the system; Secondly, the simulation model of the system was set up in De ST and TRNSYS software, mainly for xi ’an region in heating period and the typical day, namely, on January 12, the temperature of outdoors, the heat load and the effective quantity of heat by all collectors and the outlet temperature, the outlet water temperature of heat exchanger to tank, the quantity of the heat of the storage tank and its outlet temperature to heat pump, the outlet temperature of the condenser and the COP of the heat pump and so on. Lastly, based on the simulation results of the system, it analysises the economy, energy conservation and environmental protection, it synthetically explorates and researches the effectiveness of the system in xi ’an area,which is regarded as the theoretical reference of the similar systems in the future engineering practices.The simulation results shows that during the heating period, the outlet temperature of solar collector is focused on 30 ℃ to 60 ℃, and heat storage water tank, which is regarded as the low temperature heat source of heat pump, the outlet water temperature is focused on 10 ℃ to 30 ℃, meeting the requirement of the water temperature of the evaporator. The supply water temperature of the heat pump is about 45℃, and the COP can reach 4.08 on average, that is to say, the running performance of heat pump is relatively good. Through the analysis in the whole heating period, the COP of the system is 2.04, and the solar energy assurance factor can reach 33.07%. On January 12, the coefficient of performance of the system is 2.66 and the solar energy assurance factor is 22.72%.At the same time, compared with the traditional system, the yearly cost can save 3889 yuan, which is equivalent to 31.68% of the traditional. In the 15 years, the system can reduce the emission of 387.91 tons of carbon dioxide and 3.15 tons of sulfur dioxide and 1.65 tons of dust, so the system has a good economy, energy conservation and environmental protection.
