Solar photovoltaic bracket is sensitive to wind load, For this kind of structure wind load has become its control load in design. At present, research on wind loads of PV bracket are not mature enough and the standard only gives a rough value and these provisions can not solve the wind loads of PV bracket in engineering. The characteristics of wind load on this structure have relation with factors, such as inclination angle, congestion degree at bottom and turbulence intensity. Therefore, the wind distribution on PV bracket means a lot to wind resistant research on similar structure.Based on the pressure tests of rigid model in wind tunnel, the basic characteristics of wind load distribution on PV support were studied in this paper, the effect of its wind load was analyzed via changing inclination angle, height from the ground, congestion degree at bottom and turbulence intensity. At the same time, the pressure distribution of area-averaged wind pressure. The results provided reference to the wind resistant design of similar structures. The contents of this paper includes the following:(1) Through wind tunnel tests, wind loads of PV bracket in smooth flow were studied. The characteristics of wind loads distribution in typical condition and the rule of wind loads with inclination angle and wind angle were given.(2) Based on the results of wind tunnel tests, distribution of area-averaged wind pressures is analysed, and the effect of inclined angle, wind angle and other parameters are described.(3) The rule of wind pressure with congestion degree of solar photovoltaic bracket were provided by changing turbulence intensity and congestion degree at bottom.
