During the continuous development of current electric power system, the power grid becomes more polybasic and complex. With the increasing of power users, the stability of electric power system is essential. By joining up the superconducting magnetic energy storage, the stabilization mode and power supply structure of electric power system can radically be changed. At the same time, the electric power can be organically managed and distributed to increase the utilization and decrease the loss of electric power.The magnet is one of the most significant parts of superconducting magnetic energy storage. It is used for receiving, storing and apace distributing the electric power. Following the increase of energy storage capacity of magnet, the working leakage magnetic field is amplifying ceaselessly. Excess leakage magnetic field can influence the instrument, equipment and livingthings nearby. It not only can affect the normal working of instrument and inpair staff’s health, but also can damage the equipment and imperil personal safety if seriously. Therefore, it is essential to shield the leakage magnetic field of superconducting magnetic energy storage magnet above certain energy storage.Firstly, this thesis introduces the development history of superconducting magnetic energy storage and magnet in brief, and analyses the superiority and research status on two of them.Secondly, this thesis expounds the computing method of superconducting magnetic energy storage magnet magnetic field in detail, contrasts the merit and demerit of analytical method and numerical method, confirms the feasibility and veracity of using finite element analysis to calculate the magnetic field, expounds the process and method of magnet modeling and simulating by using finite element analysis software ANSYS.Moreover, 2.5MJ stored energy single solenoid model is builded and simulated by using ANSYS. The coaxial active shielding of single solenoid magnet is studied. Six kinds of single coaxial-nested shielding coils with different structure parameters are designed. At the same time, the self-inductance, mutual-inductance and current density of these six projects are calculated. On this basis, with the intent of saving superconducting wire, three different kinds of double coaxial-nested shielding coils are designed. These kinds of shielding projects are simulated by ANSYS. The scattergram of magnetic line and magnetic flux density can be drawn.Finally, the shielding effect of all the projects are analysed and compared. These analysis and comparisons include magnetic flux density on radial direction of two meters location and dosage of superconducting wire for high temperature superconducting magnetic energy storage magnet. Under the different circumstances of shielding requirements, the different shielding projects can be chosen.
