Research On Universal Design Method For Subway Station Passenger Facilities

With the rapid development of our economy, the constant increase of city population, city traffic becomes congested, has become a pressing matter of the moment to solve the congestion problem. The arrival of the subway to ease the traffic congestion situation, improving the quality of life of residents. The subway is an important part of public transport, how best to satisfy all the people travel demand is a major problem faced by the construction of subway station.This paper tries to universal design perspective on this problem are analyzed and discussed. Universal design is a new design idea, design field in Europe and American, has become a trend and the trend can not be ignored. This paper will be to expand the barrier free design and universal design concept, the design object as the theoretical basis, analysis of the relationship between the barrier free design and general design, then obtained from barrier free design to the inevitable trend of universal design.This paper analyzes the behavior characteristics of the passengers as the breakthrough point, passengers will be divided into different types, and analysis of different types in the subway passengers facing problems in the process of. Then the composing elements of subway station and function characteristics of the analysis, combined with the thinking method of universal design, summed up the general design consideration factors of subway station. Finally, according to the pictures of investigation and questionnaire survey on the Beijing city subway station design general situation, analyzed and summed up the design method for subway station of universal design, which can provide some reference data for the design of subway station.
