The Middle Route Project of South to North Water Diversion is an important part of the whole of South to North Water Diversion Project, it come from south of Hubei reservior in Danjiangkou Province and north to Beijing City Mission lake, the length of the whole main canal is 1275 km, every year it can transfer water about 13000000000 m3 and solve the problem of lackness of water of more than 20 city such as Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang along the route and also take into account the ecological environment and agricultural water. when The main canal as a important position of water channel have any problems, it will affect the safety of water supply and the flood control around canal. The foundation of the main canal is the bearing structure of the channel, the normal work of the main canal is directly related to whethere it is good or bad. Through the geological survey, the foundation of the middle route project have a lot of easily liquefied sand soil layer. In order to solve the problem of liquefaction of sand soil layer, using the technology of Ram-Compaction Piles solve the liquefied sand foundation of The Middle Route Project of South to north water diversion, through this back-ground, the paper has done the following work:(1)This paper describes the theory of sand liquefaction and furtherly sdudy strengthening mechanism of Ram-Compaction Piles and introduces the basic theory of using software of FLAC3 D solving the problem of the liquefaction.(2)Using FLAC3 D simalate the liquefied and unstrengthened foundation of The Middle Route Project of South to north water diversion. By observing the changes of sand layer in pore pressure ratio, I judge the situation of foundation occurrencing liquefaction in VII earthquake intensity.(3)Though the numerical simulation of unstrengthened foundation of The Middle Route Project of South to north water diversion, I design 9 strengthened ways and simulate this 9 ways of Ram-Compaction Piles solving sand foundation and select the best way based on the simulated results.(4)I finish test pile of the best way based on the simulated results in liquefied foundation of The Middle Route Project of South to North Water Diversion, using the standard penetration judge the situation of test area about liquefaction and test pile get satisfactory result. It gaves similar project some basis.
