According to the quality of raw water and conventional process effluent water of ZhouShan County,research has been done to select suitible activated carbon and to optimize the dosage of pre-ozonation and the post-ozonation for the Ozone-Activated Carbon system,which is aimed at improving local drinking water quality. And conclusions are as follows:(1)The raw water quality changes a lot in a year,but it shows a rule.And it’s divided into three periodsin a year by temperature,turbidity, CODMnet al:Period NO.1(Jan-Mar), Period NO.2(Apr-Sept), Period NO.3(Oct-Dec).(2)Conventional process can improve water quality greatly by removing turbidity,CODMn and quantityof ammonia nitrogen by 96%, 43%and44%.It’s not fit for us to drink sometimes because conventional process effluent waterquality is relevant to raw water quality.And Ozone-Activated Carbon system is necessary to improve effluent water quality.(3)According to the changes of Iodine absorb,Methylene blue absorb and phenol absorb,and effluent water quality of activated carbon filter,agglomerated activated carbon of DaTong,ShanXiis selected to be the most fitable one.(4) Bssed on removal rateof turbidity,CODMn and UV254,the dosage of pre-ozonation and the post-ozonation from October to February following next is optimized,and the results are 1.0mg/L~1.2mg/L for pre-ozonation and 2.0mg/L~2.2mg/L for post-ozonation.
