Study On Application Of Wood Culture In Indoor Environment Design

Wood culture is the awareness formed through the process of wood over time again andagain. Wood culture not only contains traditional humanity but also has a strong effect. Topromote and inherit the traditional culture, we explore the wood culture applications in indoorenvironment design from the perspective of design science and elaborate the wood culture fromthree aspects which are technical attribute, humanities attribute and art attribute on the base ofconsulting large numbers of literatures. To further tap the deep cultural connotation of woodculture, we analyze the spiritual content of wood culture, combined with the characteristics of theindoor environment. With the basic principles of design science, we deduce two basic principlesand three application methods of wood culture applications in indoor environment design. Westudy detailedly the specific application of wood culture in the traditional indoor environment. Wemake a brief summary of the history and the form of wood culture applications in indoorenvironment on the base of consulting large numbers of documents. We discuss the applicationmethod of wood culture’s aesthetic characteristics, ecological culture and traditional woodenthinking in traditional indoor environment by the way of literature review and field research. Withthe technology theory of mass culture, we explore the basic ideas and framework of wood culturaltechnique, analysis the wood culture technology application methods in modern interiorenvironments combined with case studies, and provide a new idea to inherit and carry forward thewood culture in modern society.Through the application study of wood culture in the indoor environment design, we enrichthe theory of wood culture, provide further guidance on the wood culture application in interiordesign, and also provide a theoretical basis for creating the cultural connotation and comfortableindoor environment.
