Application Of Vibro-replacement Stone Column In Foundation Treatment Of Caofeidian Oil Tank

In recent years, in order to ease the strain on the resources of land, a lot of new land reclamation projects are being built in the coastal city. However, reclamation foundation for the building foundation bearing capacity cannot meet the design requirements. Being different form land-based foundation, reclamation foundation is of high water content, low strength and is difficult to control settlement. Thus, Ground Treatment using vibro gravel pile can economically, safely and effectively reinforce the foundation to achieve the design requirements.In this paper, the reserve base project of Caofeidian commercial crude oil was taken as the study subject. Based on the characteristics of the project and mechanism analysis of different ground treatment method, vibro-replacement stone column was selected. The design parameters of were determined by Empirical formula combined with engineering geological investigation. The construction program and construction process were also designed. It is found that String pile phenomenon in the construction process resulted pore building problem, seriously affecting the quality of foundation reinforcement. To solve this problem, treatment methods, such as high-pressure water washing method, high-frequency vibration method, were raised. It was verified that by this methods good economic effects and experiences were achievedThe testing methods, including the in-situ static loading test, standard penetration, static sounding, super-heavy dynamic penetration test, were used to detect the quality of ground treatment. The result indicated that the design program of ground treatment method using vibro-replacement stone column is effective.
