Research Into High-speed EMU Control System

According to the 《Mid-Term and Long-term Railway Network Program》and the《Meeting Minutes of the Related Problems with Regard to the Research on RailwayRolling Stock Equipment》from the State Council, China has introduced and absorbed thetechnology. Meanwhile, the innovation has also undertaken in recent years. The CRH380high-speed EMU with independent intellectual property rights has been manufactured wholly,but a research on the weakness in the absorption and re-innovation of the high-speed EMUtrain control system is extremely urgent recently. Currently the introduction of high-speedEMU train control system can not effectively deal with the technical challenges faced byChina’s high-speed railway.This article first summarized the composition and principle of high-speed EMU traincontrol system, including system safety interlock, the driver controller, EMU travelingcontrol, EMU passing phase, pull-in control, braking force control, door control, airconditioning control，cab display, attendants display, fault protection, security monitoringand so on.In this paper, there is a corresponding accident cases and case studies at the end of thechapter. Accoding to the specific application requirements of door control, a small trainnetwork control experiment platform, which utilizes the high-speed EMU digital drivingsimulation training room of the Jilin Railway Vocational and Technical College, wasdesigned. The train central controling unit, door working condition and operation wassimulated on the computer by utilizing Labview and Matlab／Simulink. Finally a remotecontrol, monitoring and fault diagnosis are achieved.
