Seepage consolidation of soft soil exhibits high complexity and is non-linear.Therefore, analysis is needed to characterize specific issues. In this paper, three-dimensionalviscoelastic soil seepage consolidation equations were established due to the characteristics of thesoil viscoelasticity. Wave number transformation was used as the main method for viscoelastic soilseepage consolidation analysis. Parameter analysis indicates that the deformation of soft clay hasthe characteristics of apparent viscosity and has a significant impact on soft soil consolidation. In consolidation analysis, different viscoelastic constitutive models were introduced, and thecorresponding seepage consolidation equation was established. Solving equations, then comparingeach viscoelastic model with the elastic model, analyzing viscoelastic model with its owncharacteristics. Viscous deformation occurs to overcome initial viscous stress and initial viscousstress displays time-varience, Seepage consolidation analysis carried out under the effect ofdrainage shaft. The diversity of the soil permeable boundary conditions and stratificationcharacteristics were investigated in expanding the analysis. Introduced a semi-permeable boundarycondition, matrix transfer method was used for solving multi-shaft foundation. Laplace transformand Durbin Laplace numerical inverse transformation method were used to solve the problem infrequency domain and time domain inversion results. The comprehensive characters of drainage shaft foundation have been analyzed. Thecalculation indicates that thickness of soil layer has very limited influence on seepage consolidation. The rate of consolidation is getting stable with the increasing of the soil thickness. The degrees ofconsolidation defined in terms of settlement Us and in terms of effective stress Up are different inviscoelastic foundations. Orthogonal analyses were carried out to analyze factors of seepageconsolidation in viscoelastic foundation, which showed that all factors have significant influence onthe seepage consolidation and analyses as well as designs must be carried out base on specific cases. In certain extent, the viscosity coefficient of soil has very little influence on consolidation ofdrainage shaft foundation.
