Urban Rail Transit train has many advantages, such as greater transport capacity, less air pollution, punctual, fast, etc. There are more strict requirements on the noise of urban rail transit train due to the urban rail transit train generally runs in the city,close to residential areas. The main factors affecting the noise and fatigue of wheels are the unsprung weigh and the wheel rail contact state. Compared to rigid wheel, resilient wheel is lighter, which can effectively reduce the wheel-rail noise and the wheel-rail forces, not only reduce the wheel-rail noise and prolong the life of the wheel. In recent years, more and more resilient wheels has been used on urban rail transit trains, this is the trend of the future development of urban rail transit train. In this paper, based on the material nonlinearity and internal contact nonlinear of rubber resilient wheel, low floor resilient wheel which speed is90km/s is adopted as the research object, using Hypermesh software to build a three-dimensional nonlinear finite element model of the resilient wheel and the nonlinear finite element calculation analysis is carried out on the resilient wheel using nonlinear analysis of ANSYS software. Finally the static strength and fatigue strength is evaluated with UIC510-5standard. Bolt’s minimum safety coefficient is1.58, the minimum safety coefficient of the buckle is1.17, the minimum safety coefficient of strake is6.13, the minimum safety factor of wheel core is2.52, so the results of static strength assessments indicated resilient wheel components can meet the strength requirements. Assessments of the fatigue strength using a form of Goodman Haigh curve, the stress amplitudes of buckle, strake and wheel core are less than100MPa form the curve, far less than the fatigue standard180MP,so resilient wheel can meet the requirements of the fatigue strength of the structure.
