Along with the higher requirement of the electric load in our country, more andmore urban substation locations. Consideration from occupation of land, coordinatedcity architectural style and to reduce the noise nuisance, urban substation design isgenerally considered to adopt the indoor type, that the main transformer is in the maintransformer room. Through the noise reduction methods such as sound insulation andshielding, we control the spread of the main transformer noise. And the safe operationrequirement of the main transformer is ventilation cooling to ensure the transformerrunning in a safety temperature range. So the main transformer room must open thecorresponding ventilation of inlet and outlet. But if the area of tuyere is so large thatthe indoor noise spreads to outdoor, the area of tuyere is so small that influenceventilation cooling effect. and indoor ventilation cooling and noise control ofsubstation is a pair of contradiction. Thus ventilation cooling and noise control ofindoor substation is a pair of contradiction.Ventilation mode is divided into mechanical ventilation and natural ventilationand mixing ventilation of mechanical ventilation and natural ventilation. Thetemperature is high in Summer, the load of city network is high, the part oftransformer substations often uses cooling fan way for the main transformer. Whenthe environment temperature is low, usually the natural ventilation cooling can satisfythe ventilation cooling requirement of the main transformer. When the ventilationcooling scheme is improper, it easily makes that meeting the conditions of ventilationcooling the running noise is nuisance, or meeting the conditions of noise control theeffect of cooling ventilation is bad,which influences the safe operation of the maintransformer. In the ideal situation, it is to ensure that natural ventilation cooling isused at most of the time, reducing the operation of the fanner to reduce the noisenuisance of the fanner. When natural ventilation can’t meet the requirement ofventilation, the forced ventilation is to ensure the safe and economic operation of thetransformer by fanner.So many substations of city generally adopt mixing ventilationof natural ventilation and mechanical ventilation in Summer to save energy of the operation and reduce the production cost.In the condition of the ventilation openings area of indoor substation isinvariable, the research goal of this topic is that how to decorate inlets and outlets andfinding the optimal ventilation cooling effect of indoor substation cooling ventilationscheme.A main transformer room of a indoor substation in Nanchang city as the researchobject, establish the mathematical physical model of indoor cooling ventilation. Weverify the effectiveness and accuracy of the ventilation cooling model by comparedthe results of numerical simulation with field test data. On the basis of themathematical models of cooling ventilation, through different designs about thepositions of inlets and outlets, different ventilation methods, we put forward differentventilation cooling schemes. Fluid numerical simulation software Fluent was used tomake the CFD numerical simulation of different ventilation cooling scheme in themain transformer chamber of the substation.According to the results of numericalsimulation, through the analysis of velocity field and temperature field, we compareindoor airflow organization status of various schemes, analyze advantages anddisadvantages of various design schemes, finally obtained a better scheme of coolingventilation.At the end, this paper also makes simulates analyses for the cooling ventilationof a typical indoor substation. On the basis of the results of numerical simulation data,the advantages and disadvantages and existing problems of typical indoor substationventilation cooling schemes are analyzed. I put forward some improved suggestions,and it has certain guiding significance to practical engineering, for reference about themain transformer room ventilation cooling scheme design in the same kind of indoorsubstation.
