With the development of the industry, centrifugal compressor has been used widely in the compressed area. However, there still exist some problems, such as low efficiency, limited stable condition and even surge. In this case, it is necessary to build a compressor model applying to practical production.This paper takes a large gas centrifugal compressor system as the research object. Based on the theoretical compressor model of Greitzer, this paper establishes the compressor model of the actual process. The whole process is connected with the equipment parameters and operational data. In the model, according to the analysis of the sensitivity, this paper puts forward the parameter identification and model calibration strategy.The practical model contains many parameters and venialities when analyzing the actual problems. Some of those parameters have big influence on the model, and other parameters could affect the model little or almost have no influence. Based on the parameter sensitivity analysis method, the article gets the key parameters. According to the results of the sensitivity analysis, this paper discusses about two problems further:parameter identification and model calibration strategy. In the part of parameter identification, the necessity of identifying is analyzed based on the analysis of the sensitivity. Through the simulation results, we can get the key parameters on the premise of ensuring the accuracy of the model. The model calibration including short-term calibration strategy and long-term calibration strategy is the extension of sensitivity analysis. Due to long-term calibration needs a lot of process data and time; there usually exists short-term calibration. In the short-term calibration, there are two parts:model deviation calibration and parameters calibration. It is a kind of calibration combining with model deviation and the size of parameter sensitivity. It can improve the precision of the model effectively.In order to provide a reference, we must ensure the accuracy of the model. Above all, this article can provide some suggestions to the researches on compressor centrifugal.
