As the large-scale of wind turbine increases,the current there are amount of problem about asymmetricloads intensify,fatigue loads significantly increased and poor ability of wind energy capture caused by largewindward error and lag windward gradually manifested in the traditional wind turbine yaw control.How toimprove the accuracy of windward,reduce load and improve generating capacity of wind turbine become anurgent problem to be solved.This thesis researched the yaw control system from the work principle of yawsystem,the method of wind direction forecast,the improvement yaw control and building simulation modelof wind turbine.Main work covered in this thesis is as follows:(1)From researching the characteristics of wind direction and BP neural network schemed out themodel of BP neural network wind direction forecast based on wind direction characteristics.The modelis able to predict the post-10s wind direction based on the first30s wind direction and wind directioncharacteristics of region of wind turbine.The simulation result show that the error of95%of the forecastwind direction within5°.(2)For the problem of large vane measurement error in wind turbine,This thesis by adding thecorrection compensation angle to reduce the vane measurement error,The tolerance angle of automaticyaw control caused by large vane measurement error was accordingly reduced. This thesis figured outaverage wind direction of30s and post-10s wind direction with the wind direction of adding thecorrection compensation angle,The average of these two wind directions as an automatic yaw controlinputs made improvements to the automatic yaw.The measurement accuracy of vane Significantlyincrease when added the correction compensation angle,the accuracy of windward of yaw system isincreased.(3)Using the wind turbine model be builded by Matlab and Bladed to simulate the winddirection forecast yaw control system.The results prove that the Wind Turbine Yaw System Based on Wind Direction Forecast is able to reduce loads and improve generating capacity of windturbine effectively.
