In the past50years, the single-ended forward converter has dominated the market thatmore than50watt commercial power supplies. Based on the advantages of the simple circuittopology, low loss, high efficiency, easy to multi-channel output, large output current, outputpower transformer capacity without limit of the forward converter, it can be widely use.A simple review of the forward converter, the work people in order to solve theutilization rate and magnetic flux reset. Research on the working principle and the method ofmagnetic reset of the single-ended single switch forward converter. This paper has presented amethod of the single-ended high efficiency forward power converter with active clamp circuitand double switches clamp circuit, in order to satisfy the people to the single-ended forwardtype switching power supply to further increase the demand of the efficiency and theperformance. Analysis of the circuit topology of double switches clamp, it can reduce theswitching pressure, recover automatically magnetizing and leakage inductance energy storage,improve the performance of converter; the active clamp circuit topology, can realize the mainand auxiliary switches to zero switching, improve the utilization rate of magnetic core, furtherreducing the converter loss.Finally the comparative analysis of the experimental data of three single-ended forwardconverter with the RCD clamp, active clamp and double switches circuit, it verified the clampand double switches clamp circuit in efficiency and performance than using RCD clampconverter has been greatly improved. That proves the double switches clamp and active clampsingle-ended forward circuit topology, plays a very important role in improving the efficiencyand performance of the single-ended forward converter. |
