| Spectrometer is an important means for spectral studies, widely used in physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy and medical fields. However, the traditional spectrometers exist bulky, complex structure, limited using environment, expensive and other deficiencies, which leads to growing demand for miniature spectrometer. Because of a late start, there is a big gap between China’s and foreign miniature spectrometer in aspects of performance, process quality and reliability, resulting in long-term dependence on imports of such equipment. Research and development of small, high-performance, full-featured miniature spectrometer has very important significance.This paper has deeply studied the working principle of the miniature spectrometer, designed and realized a miniature spectrometer based on linear CCD. This system consists of lower machine hardware and PC software, both of which communicate via the USB bus. Lower machine uses non-symmetrical Czerny-Turner optical structure to separate light, and uses high-resolution linear CCD as the light detector, both of which improve the performance of the system. The entire lower machine is powered by5V power of USB, which can plug and play, which not only reduces the size of the system but also improves the data transfer rate.Signal processing for collected spectral data is a key to develop high-quality miniature spectrometer, especially for noise processing. This paper presents a method to remove noise for CCD signal based on the modulation of integration time, and it can effectively remove the1/f noise and white noise of CCD, which improves the overall performance.Based on the optimal design of hardware and software of miniature spectrometer and signal processing of spectral noise, this paper has improved the performance of miniature spectrometer. Experimental results show that this system can stably and reliably complete the acquisition, transmission and processing of spectral data. |
