The main reducer gear is one of the most important part of the automobiles. Thequality of the main reducer gear affects the automobile Performance greatly. Themeasure machine for differential assembly adjustment shim is the key machine in themain reducer gear assembly process. Its accuracy affects the backlash which is the mostimportant index of the main reducer gear directly. The quality of the main reducer gearassembly can be greatly improved by improving the accuracy of the measure machine.At the same time, it does good to improving production efficiency by picking the rightshim directly.The development of main reducer assembly technology and shim measuringtechnology was described in detail. The significance of the research was described. Thestructure function and workflow of the measure machine was made introduction. Theevaluation criterion of the device performance was pointed out.Uncertainty of the device was evaluated by considering the equipment deformation,manufacturing precision of parts and the working temperature. The standardrepresentation of the uncertainty was given.Some parameters which may affect the device performance were introduced. Theresearch on these parameters was made by orthogonal. The main factors weredetermined. The optimal parameter combination was selected to be the working statusfor research.By analyzing the model of the measuring components, the impact to the device by themeasuring components was found. For the deformation of some key locations has greateffect on the measuring accuracy of the device, two programs was proposed to improvethe quality of the measure machine.
