The curved shell structure is a common style of space structures. However, the vibration of curved shell structure with small structural damping usually attenuations slowly under the exterior excitation. Therefore the vibration control of the shell structure is very important for improving the performance of the structure. As a kind of intelligent material, Piezoelectric materials plays an important role in the field of vibration control with its unique electromechanical couple ability, The current study of this area is focused on piezoelectric based vibration control. Concretely, the contents of the thesis are arranged as follows:Firstly, in the optimal vibration control of elastic curved shell structure, numerous structural freedom degrees lead to large amount of computational time in control algorithm. In order to reduce computational time of control algorithm, the space curved shell elements are used to simulate the spatial structure to decrease structural freedom degrees; on the other hand, combination methods of the independent modal space strategy and the optimal control algorithm are applied to improve the computational efficiency of control algorithm. The piezoelectric curved shell elements are used to achieve the optimal structural vibration control. Numerical examples given in the paper demonstrate the validity of the presented method.Then, the finite element analysis model for the composite piezoelectric curved shell, which contains the sensor layer and actuator layer, has been developed based on the curved shell element. Meanwhile, the finite element formulation of the piezoelectric structure is derived considering the mechanical characteristics of composite laminated curved shell. Compared with ANSYS calculation results, the numerical examples verify the accuracy of the finite element model of this article.The numerical simulation of the vibration control of the piezoelectric composite laminated curved structure is performed with the negative velocity feedback control law and the numerical examples show the effect negative velocity feedback impact on the structure. Then, control vibration of the piezoelectric composite laminated curved shell by solving the formulation in modal state space. Numerical examples given in the paper demonstrate the validity of the presented method. At last, the optimal model of structure vibration control has been solved with simulated annealing algorithm, and numerical examples of optimized assignment of sensor/actuator units demonstrated the accuracy of the presented method.
