With rapid development of society and improvement of living standards, the automobile is becoming more and more popular, which has gradually become an indispensable part of daily life, and people are paying more and more attention on comfortable driving experience. However, the pressure on the environment and energy is being increased when the automobile brings convenience to people’s life. Fiercer and fiercer energy competition and various extreme weather conditions cast a pall on people’s life quality. In China, the situation of energy shortage also exists, and the problem of deterioration of environment is particularly urgent. Frequent natural disasters, such as haze, flood and drought, urge people to turn to new energy vehicles. New energy automobile has broad prospects, which is the development goal of automobile industry. Electric Vehicles are widely paid attention because of the low energy consumption, zero emission, etc. Application of AMT technology in Electric Vehicles can effectively improve people’s driving experience and reduce traffic accidents caused by subjective factor.This paper is based on the project of national863program the whole industry chain development of passenger vehicle’s electric driving system (2012AA110802). The targets of the project is to design motor transmission integrated structure to improve vehicle’s dynamic performance, economization and lightweight. This paper mainly aims at the research of shift actuator and control method of AMT system. According to the analysis of research situation and basic types of shift actuator, determining structure design scheme with the target of integrated structure design, and completing shift actuator’s parameter design and strength check to ensure to meet requirements. Taking use of SolidWorks software to establish the three-dimensional model of shift actuator, and analyzing the kinematics characteristic of shift actuator by Adams software to verify the feasibility and accuracy of structure scheme. According to the working principle of each component of shift actuator, establishing mathematical model of each component and whole shift actuator system, and establishing system simulation model by Matlab/Simulink software to analyze system’s output characteristic. Commonly used PID control method is introduced, on the analysis basis of working principle and parameters function, designing PID controller of AMT shift actuator system and establishing system simulation model with PID controller. The output characteristics of the PID control system show that AMT shift actuator system can achieve the target requirements such as fast, stable and accurate.In this paper, the structure scheme of electric control shift actuator has advantages of compact structure and good performance, which meets the requirements of electric vehicle motor transmission integrated structure design. The structure scheme is applicable to the automation reform for traditional manual transmission (MT), which has important practical significance to realize the industrialization of electric vehicle.
