Four-wheel positioning parameters is the important performance parameters in the process of the car, it is the main factors influencing the vehicle handing stability. So the study of Four-wheel positioning based on vehicle handling stability is of great importance.This paper mainly does the work as shown below:(1) Firstly expounds the influence of the toe and camber about the vehicle handing stability and set up double front axle steering wheel toe-in and camber of mathematical model based on the side of the tire mechanism.According to mathematical model, we knocked out the relationship between the toe of front axle and rear axle of the double front axle truck, also we knocked out the relationship between the camber of front axle wheel and rear axle wheel of the double front axle truck, last we gain the reasonable matching formula about the toe and camber of the double front axle truck. Then, according to the matching formula,we write the related program in the MTALAB, put the vehicle real vehicle parameters into the program,and gain the optimization date of the double front axle steering wheel toe and camber.(2)Secondly, introduces the kingpin inclination and caster’s influence on vehicle steering stability, expounds the importance of the kingpin inclination and caster, and researching the kingpin inclination and caster about the double front axle steering truck based on steering return-to-center performance. It is concluded the mathematical relationship between the residual yawing Angle and double front axle steering kingpin inclination and caster Angle. Then, according to the matching formula,we write the related program in the MTALAB, put the vehicle real vehicle parameters into the program,and gain the optimization date of the double front axle steering kingpin inclination and caster.(3)Finally, build up the double front axle vehicle model based on ADAMS/Car vehicle dynamics software. Based on the established vehicle dynamics model, has carried on the low speed and high speed vehicle straight simulation experiment and steering wheel returnability simulation experiment. Through vehicle straight simulation experiment, we verify the rationality and validity of date about wheel toe-in and camber gained in the second chapter, Through vehicle steering wheel returnability simulation experiment, we verify the rationality and validity of date about kingpin inclination and caster gained in the third chapter. Then according to relevant simulation experimental data, discusses the influence of four-wheel positioning parameters to the vehicle handling stability.
