Recently, with the rapid growth of new energy grid-connected power generation system, great importance has been attached to power electronic technology. Inverting tech, as one of the most widely applied technique, plays an increasingly important role in the conversion of different energy. Therefore, inverter waveform outputs must have high quality. Besides, digital control of inverters will be the developing tendency with the development of high-performance DSP.Predictive Functional Control (PFC), based on the theory of predictive control, is a novel approach of predictive control, and it meets the need of fast system. PFC has plenty of advantages as lower demand on accuracy of parametric models, simpler algorithm, less calculation, faster tracking, and higher exactness. And it is more convenient for engineers to acquire. Compared to PI controller, FOPI has one more adjustable parameter, and this makes FOPI controller have better control performance and more flexible design. The new control strategy FOPIPFC combines FOPI and PFC, and it has the advantages of both FOPI and PFC, which has a better control performance than the single strategy.The novel control strategy is implemented via Simulink model single-phase full-bridge inverter in MATLAB. Besides, digital hardware circuits centering on DSP have been designed to implement our new control strategy. According to the simulation and hardware circuits waveforms, FOPIPFC is feasible to some degree. Under the FOPIPFC strategy, inverter outputs have better steady-state performance, shorter responding time, better load adaptability, and stronger anti-interference capability. This control strategy is suitable for the control of inverters in power generation system.
