Earthquake is a kind of serious natural disasters, fretquent earthquake caused hugeeconomic loss to us. In front of the relentless earthquake, people know the urgency and thenecessity of building earthquake. Traditional seismic is used the hard way with increasingstructure size, bold reinforcement, improve the rigidity, etc. However, these measures willcause a large stiffness and seismic action, ductility of the structure become bad and can notdissipation energy of the earthquake very well. This year, suspension control theory has beenwidely research, and been used in building structural entities, enables the building structurebyseismic shock had a phased development. Enclosure wall multi-functional suspensionstructure is on the basis of forefathers’research, with enclosure wall as tuned suspension ofthe TMD mass. This made the suspension structure does not need to be added mass blocks,and can satisfy the requirement of the engineering structure vibration control theory, and canreduce the project cost, security, applicability and durability of structure design of therequirements.The main researches based on this were as follows:1. According to the vibration equation of structure, obtained the retaining wall multiplefunctional relationships between the damping structure of ground displacement and spectrumcharacteristics of each parameter setting.2. Modal tests used the scaled model shaking table test was made self vibrationcharacteristics analysis, according to the contrast of non damping model and damping model,obtained the frequency and the number and type of vibration TMD with non dampingstructure and damping structure.3. The damping ratio, dynamic magnification coefficient, root mean square (RMS) wereused as the damping index of the multifunctional vibration damping structure retaining wall.According to the domain test vibration of non damping and damping structure with the test,selected the best test scheme, and analyzed the effect of the number of TMD and damping onthe vibration law in different strength of seismic wave, and compared the characteristicparameters of the acceleration response and displacement under the action of earthquakeresponse.4. Analysis in frequency domain, as the objective function to evaluate the variousworking conditions in different earthquakes wave and external excitation, evaluated thedamping effect of spectral characteristics of power density and frequency response amplitudespectrum, and validated the results with the analysis in time domain.
