In the modern society, the engine has already been one of the most useful powergenerators. As we all know, the turbocharger has wide application in engine. Exhaustturbocharged not only can use exhaust’s energy to increase intake filling quantitydensity, to increase engine power, but also it can improve the heat efficiency, improveefficiency and reduce noise and emission pollution etc. The turbine stress responses atthe comprehensive action of centrifugal loads, thermal loads and aerodynamic loads. Inorder to ensure the blade working life, fluid-solid interaction strength analysis wasurgent to be done. This paper reviews the purpose and method of the turbocharger, and brieflyexplains the current situation of the turbocharger and fluid-solid interaction, andexpounds the control equation of fluid-solid interaction and the turbulence model. For aturbocharger gasoline engine, the working process of gasoline engine was simulatedwith the GT-Power software and the rules of state parameters in different conditionswere acquired. The state parameters were the speed of turbine, the pressure of inlet, thetemperature of inlet and the velocity of inlet. The fluid-solid interaction of turbine wasanalyzed in different conditions with the CFX, Steady-State Thermal and StaticStructural in Workbench software. In addition, the turbine impeller structure strengthand strain were calculated. The dimension and structure for the turbine box wasoptimized. The design optimal points were figured out through corresponding curveanalysis and goal driven optimization analysis. The optimized dimension of numericalabout the maximum equivalent stress and the maximum equivalent displacement canmeet the purpose of reduction.
