With the improvement of living standards and enhancement of theenvironmental protection consciousness, people’s requirement for packagingmaterials is more and more critical. The biodegradable fresh-keepingpackaging is becoming a hot spot of research. As a kind of renewable andbiodegradable natural organic polymer materials, cellulose has goodhydrophilicity, chemical stability and biocompatibility, the loofah fiber of whichalso has good antibacterial property. In this paper, we blend loofah fiberextractive liquid (LF), microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)and ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) emulsion with different ratio. Andalso we prepare the casting film with aqueous solution tape-casting technology. On the basis of ensuring the material mechanical properties, thermalproperties and gas permeability, improving the antibacterial properties andbiodegradable properties of the materials, so as to achieve the purpose ofpreparing the green fresh-keeping packaging for vegetables. Finally, the effectof this packaging material on the preservation of oilseed rape is studied.Casting films were prepared with LF/MCC content of0%,5%,10%,15%,20%, and25%, respectively. And the microstructure, mechanical properties, gas permeability properties, thermodynamic properties, biodegradableproperties, antibacterial properties, preservation properties were studied. Theresearch showed that:(1) The hydroxy in PVA and MCC could form intermolecular hydrogenbond, and good compatibility existing between PVA and MCC. With theimprovement of LF/MCC content, mechanical properties and gas permeabilityof the casting membrane improved. When the amount of the LF/MCC was20%,the tensile strength increased114.3%, the gas permeability increased17.8%,the vapor permeability increased53.9%, the antimicrobial properties increased61.5%, and the weight loss was44.86%, the comprehensive performance of the casting film was best.(2) Using the20%LF/MCC additive amount casting film for oilseed rapepreservation at room temperature, the shelf life of oilseed rape extended from2~3days to5days. The leave of oilseed rape had local yellow spot only, andthere was no decay of the rhizome. The nutrient (TSS, TA and Vitamin C) inoilseed rape was maintained and the preservation effect was good.
