A phenomenon of electromagnetic attenuation increasement rapidly occurs when a high speedaircraft flies in reentry stage. The mainly reason is the serious electromagnetic interference from theplasma layer generated by the interaction between aircraft and aerosphere. The plasma aggravatesthe wastage of the electromagnetic wave. The paper starts from the theory and studies thepropagation equation of electromagnetic wave in the plasma with the help of Maxwell equation andanalysis of electron movement. Analysis the impact of electromagnetic wave with different plasmaproperties by calculates the power reflection and absorption coefficient.The plasma is a conducting flow with high electron density and collision frequency. By usingspecific line polarized wave incident three different kinds of the uniform and non-uniform plasmalayer which is simulated by Drude model, the paper calculates electromagnetic power reflection、absorption and transmission coefficient. Three kinds of plasma are normal plasma layer、magnetizedplasma layer and applied ExB layer. The non-uniform plasma layer is divided into many plasmalayers which is approximately uniform. From the simulation result the magnetized plasma layer canreduces the attenuation of electromagnetic wave. For the wave with lower frequency the effect isnot obvious. The applied ExB layer can enhance the transmission performance of electromagneticwave with lower frequency. In addition, the wastage in non-uniform plasma layer is much moreserious than which in uniform plasma layer.
