Research On The Flexible Assembly Technology Of Aircraft Fuselage

Flexible assembly technologies are increasingly employed in modern aircraftmanufacturing, and flexible assembly fixtures are an important component of modern aircraftflexible assembly technology, which directly affects the productivity and quality of products.Flexible assembly fixtures are more flexible and complicated than traditional dedicatedfixtures no matter in the form of integral structure.This paper discusses the technology of aircraft flexible assembly based on the aircraftfuselage. The main contents are as follows:Study on fuselage assembly process： Aircraft fuselage structure and typical parts areanalyzed, and the typical aircraft fuselage assembly process and equipment are discussed。Then the paper focuses on the study of aircraft assembly cell division oriented flexibleassembly, and typical examples are cited to validate it.Study on advanced positioning technology of fuselage：After the positioning methods arecompared and optimized,3-2-1adjusting method is proposed for fuselage flexible assemblyaccording to the pose transformation principle.Design a set of flexible assembly fixture： The conceptual design fuselage flexibleassembly are performed，using the3-2-1adjusting method. To prove the feasibility of motion,motion simulation was made for the flexible fixture.On the basis of the research above, with the analyses of the structures and processibilityof certain commercial aircraft AFT fuselage, the applicable design is completed, using theconceptual design. Finally, the assembly process of aircraft fuselage is analyzed according tothe characteristics of flexible assembly, and the assembling ability is verified.
