In recent years, with the continuous growth of China’s car amount, parking demand increasingly strong, increasing the scale of construction parking, traditional parking services have been unable to meet the parking needs of the vehicle. Solving the parking problem in today’s urban development has become an important and urgent task, in which adopting urban parking intelligent management is an important means to solve the parking problem. Traditional parking management has the following problems, such as the opaque parking information, vehicle access and pay is not high degree of automation, parking spaces can not be reserved. Therefore, to construct intelligent and efficient parking lots is very necessary.For the convenience of parking and improving the utilization of parking spaces, a intelligent parking spaces detection and management system was studied and designed. Firstly to select the RFID technology as a solution to access and time billing management techniques of the parking lot, the working principle and hardware and software design about radio frequency identification system were described in the paper, the technology is facilitate users to access to parking lots quickly and time charges automatically. Secondly, in order to help users find parking spaces quickly and improve parking efficiency and the effective utilization of parking spaces, a parking guidance system was developed based on LabVIEW, LabVIEW development environment as well as parking guidance system interface design were described in this section. For publishing parking information to the public in real-time, then to detect parking spaces with the electromagnetic induction principle is occupied or not. The parking detection system work principle and its hardware and software design were described in the section, in which a distributed control architecture is adopted in the parking spaces detection system, each parking spaces detection subsystem communicates with the master control unit via CAN bus.Finally the master control unit sends information of parking lots to the parking management server through wireless communication network, the working principle of GPRS wireless communication technology, hardware and software design were described in the part.Each module’s functions was tested after the completion of the system design and making, the experimental results show that the design of RFID system can automatically find cards, time charge and realize other functions; Sense coil parking detection device can detect whether a vehicle parking spaces occupied; GPRS module can realize data communication with a network server fixed IP. Experimental results show that the design to meet the design goals. The study has some practical significance for intelligent parking management.
