Study On The Planning Of City Ring Road Freeway Service Areas

The freeway service areas are the essentia l facilities which to protect thefreeway traffic safety, to improve the freeway service leve ls, to ensure a rapidly andeconomic transport, to alle viate the driver phys io logical fatigue and theautomobiles can get necessary ma inte nance when they need. Nowadays, thefreeway, inc lude the c ity r ing road freeway, has developed rapid ly, there are lots ofstudy on the freeway service area pla nning, but rare study on the freeway servicearea pla nning o f the city ring road.Focus on the c ity r ing road freeway, based on the research of the developme ntbackground and present situation of domest ic and fore ign expressway service area,this paper has analyzed the proble ms of the freeway service area, cons idered theconnection of interna l and externa l city traffic cohesio n, the comb inatio n of thefreeway import/export with toll system, and ma ximizin g the sharing and using ofthe scarce urban resources, so as to determine location and planning of the city r ingroad freeway service area, establis h a k ind of opening freeway service area. Basedon the researches, this paper has considered the functio n expand and maximizationof service area, discussed the la nd property divers ification of the city r ing roadfreeway service area effect on the service area sca le, and proposed a methodcomb ined with the scale and function of the service area. Meanwhile, based onview of the service area function, expand the connotation and denotation of thefreeway service areas, by means of integrated develop ment and divers ifying, thispaper has discussed the function maximization of pla nning and design of thefreeway service area, analyzed the research results of this study, and introduced thisinto the applications of city ring road freeway service area p lanning, to establish anew concept opening city ring road freeway service areas in the land resourcesscarce city, so as to ma ximizing the us ing of the service areas’ resources.This paper combined with the partic ularity o f city r ing road, proposed a newplanning idea, expounded the p lanning method of c ity r ing road service area, and expanded the study of city ring road freeway service area planning, has practicalsignificance to the developme nt of city ring road freeway service area.
