| With the development of social economy and gradually improvement of motorization level,more and more traffic jam and traffic accidents have become urgent problems. At this circumstanceburgeons Intelligent Transportation System and VANET plays a significant role in ITS. As animportant application scenario, VANETs in urban area appears its unique character due to roadconstruction, vehicle density, obstacles and other reasons. In this paper, some researches have beendone on VANETs message delivery shortest route and safe distance between vehicles in urban areas.Main research work included:1.On the basis of urban road construction and vehicles drivingfeatures on urban roads, a thought of message delivery through road direction has been proposed.Regard intersection vehicles and infrastructures as research object, an algorithm of messagedelivery in VANETs has been designed. Meanwhile, the shortest route of VANETs vehicle messagedelivery in urban area has been obtained by Dijkstra algorithm.2. A vehicle mobility model appliedto urban areas based on the present VANETs mobility models has been defined. Researches havebeen done on the safe distance of vehicles in different scenarios in urban areas. Adjustments andextensions on the present vehicles safe distance led to new vehicles safe distance computationalmodel applied on different scenarios.3. A concept of warning distance based on safe distance hasbeen proposed and a simulation of vehicles driving process in different scenarios has been done byMATLAB. Though the simulation, some conclusions have been obtained about the meaning ofwarning distance applied on maximum prevention of collision between vehicles. |
