Vehicle Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) is a new type of intelligent transportation system architecture in view of the rapid changing road network topology. It provides fundamental supports for ensuring the safety of road, improving the driving efficiency and providing the wireless internet access services. Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology has been widely used in detecting target objects. Take the complexity of the road network traffic information into consideration, we can take the advantage of RFID tags to store accurate road information and combine with the VANETs technology to improve the efficiency of information dissemination. Parking guidance services are designed to provide vehicle intelligent parking guidance strategy, and we mainly focus on parking slots information perception and path decision in this thesis.In order to provide better parking guidance services under the distributed network, parking slots information perception has caught more attention as a key technology. In this thesis, we firstly propose a new parking slots perception scheme based RFID-VANETs technology to solve the information acquisition problem under the distributed network without a centralized server collecting the parking information. The proposed scheme is characterized by deploying the RFID tags to store the current available parking slot information. Specifically, parked vehicles are in charge of perceiving the parking information as a sensor node. When receiving parking slots information, parked vehicles can quickly integrate the information and share with other vehicle within communication range through V2V communication, which improve the parking information transmission efficiency of the distributed network architecture.When receiving the available parking slots information from different area through V2V communication in the distributed network, vehicles should make the parking area decision to get the available parking slots. So we also proposed a parking path decision scheme based on genetic algorithm, namely, to get the global optimal solution using genetic algorithm, which reduces the vehicle global cost to find a parking slot and improve the efficiency of finding parking spaces.In the rest of the thesis, we concentrate on discussing the realization of the parking information collection platform and illustrate the feasibility and availability by recording and analysis the parking slots data update in platform server.
