In recent years, the aviation industry have achieved rapid development in China,however, the aviation engine has depended on the technology of the United States and otherdeveloped countries for a long time because of the backward technique in aviation enginetechnology in domestic, which results in a serious empty in National Defense and greateconomic losses. Although the state has increased the input in the development of aviationengine, but there are still many technical problems such as manual test and empiricallydetermine whose method has a low reliability, especially in the process of engine test-run,there for, how to solve these problems has become a challenge in aviation enginedevelopment.The paper take the test-run process of a certain turbo-shaft engine as research objects,and aim at the long test cycle, low test quality, high test costs, discuss the developmentmethod of the computer-aided test system for this type of engine in detail, then give aimplement verification.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) Determine the functional requirements and usage requirements of the system;(2) Propose the idea of configuration, firstly, dividing test program into multiple basictest state, then arranging and combining the test status in accordance with the order of testprogram to generate different test procedures, which has achieved the rapid definition andmodification of test procedures and has improved the flexibility of the test functions.(3) Discuss several major models of reliability and also some ways to improve thesystem reliability, including components’ siftings and derating using, hardware redundancyand so on, finally, having a instance test on the reliability of the software, and verifying thereliability of the system software.(4) For the engine test CAT system which has been developed, using an engineeringexample to illustrate the entire process from input information, measurement parameters,testing interface to output and analysis of the results to make a simple evaluation, andverifying the practicality and reliability of the system.
