With the gradual increasing and expanding range of human activities, many new problems are arising. One of the most serious problems is the increasing environmental pollution and energy shortages. These two issues need to be resolved. Electric vehicles attracted more and more attentions by its unique advantages:energy saving and environmental protection. From the last century70th, Western countries have invested heavily in the development and commercialization of electric vehicles in the application. Battery power is a core part of a electric vehicle, its working condition and useful time are the focus of our concern and research,Therefore studies related to battery technology is very important. Battery model can be used for simulation of vehicle performance, and can be used for designing batteries and battery management system.As the SOC (State Of Charge) estimation has been a problem which has become a bottleneck today, so this paper is focused to estimate the SOC.This paper describes the structure, working principles and the related technical parameters of lithium-iron battery, and then based on incentive-respond method to design lithium-ion battery HPPC experiments in different temperatures, the results were in-depth analyzed, based on recursive least squares method the lithium-ion battery modeling were identified and simulated, finally Extended Kalman filtering method is used to estimate the battery SOC.
