The huge increase of traditional engine vehicles made energy crisis and environmental damage much more deteriorative. Every country in the world is actively concentrating on the development of pure electric Vehicle. At present, the majority of pure electric Vehicles are equipped single transmission ratio reducer. It not only enhances the performance requirement of drive motor but also reduces vehicle economy. On account of drive motor and storage battery technological limit, the transmission system must be improved to enhance vehicle dynamic quality and economy. This study is to develop a new kind of transmission system with two gears for pure electric vehicle.The transmission system consists of transmission, final drive and differential. It has small volume, light quality, easy arrangement and high transmission efficiency. This article focuses on clarify the working principle, design ideas. Firstly, in terms of pure electric vehicle and drive motor parameters, this article calculates and optimizes the transmission ratio in order to meeting vehicle dynamic quality and economy. Secondly, this article designs the parameters of main components and parts of transmission system. Thirdly, this article makes vehicle co-simulation and verifies vehicle dynamic quality and transmission system mechanical properties.Finally, this article uses ANSYS software to make contact and modal analysis.
