With the improvement of living standards, customs require their vehicles havingbetter qualities and performance.Air condition is a basic equipment of a vehicle, itsperformance can heavily affect the qualities of a vehicle.Optimizing the ACperformance have became one of very important means to compete in the vehiclemarket.Through the performance test of the AC in the prototype vehicle, the analysis ofthose parts, this article gives a design target of the AC development, considering theproblems of the prototype vehicle from the market, also optimizes the design of theAC such as:recalculating the parameters of the evaporator and compressor to improvethe cooling capability, improving the vent design to get a better qualities ofpassengers’ comfort, defrosting and demisting, reducing the operation noises of theHVAC by improving the situation of air flow and the pipeline layout. While developing the Type A vehicle, the author has got sufficient analysis aboutmatch-calculating and simulation. Also, many bench tests, system tests andenvironment simulation tests have been completed. The more tech experience andmore skillful of AC development is a result. The readers can get some practicablemethods and basis about analysis and matching of system performance in thefollowing projects. The performance of the system after improving is proved meeting the designrequirement through both the bench tests and environment simulation tests. Comparedwith the former AC, it has a better performance of cooling and warming, a fasterspeed of temperature reducing, a3℃~5℃lower average temperature in the cabin atthe first20minutes. After releasing to the market at Jan.2013, because of the goodrepresentation in the market of the AC, the vehicle had the more advantages in thecompetition, as a result, the company had a excellent economic and social benefit.
